Car restoration for the Wairarapa

Masterton, Carterton, Greytown and the rest of the Wairarapa reach us either over the Pahiatua Track and down SH1, or south on SH2 and round through Kāpiti.

Dry side of the hill

Wairarapa cars often come through better than coastal ones — it's drier, and there's less salt working on them. That said, a car that's spent decades on gravel roads has usually taken a beating underneath, and stone chip that's been touched up over the years hides more than it covers.

We do the full job here rather than sending parts of it elsewhere: frame-up restorations and custom builds, panel and paint, rust cut out and replaced, sheet-metal and chassis fabrication, full mechanical, auto electrical, custom upholstery, Cerakote and LVV certification.

Getting the car to us from the Wairarapa

It's a decent drive over the hill, so plenty of Wairarapa cars come across on a trailer or a truck. Tell us where the car is and we'll help arrange transport both ways.

We're not a mobile operation — the spray booth, the fabrication gear and the trim shop are all at Kuku, and that's where the work happens. What we will do is help you sort transport in both directions if the car isn't going to drive itself here.
